EOS Error
I have a single workstation running XP SP3. When I try to print from one program to a local printer I get the message "Exception EOS Error in DF.DAL. Error Code 1722. The RPC Server is unavailable". I have bought and run registry cleaners, anti virus checks to no avail. all other programs print fine.

Seems to be a program error. You have checked for viruses and found none. Registry cleaners are more likely to cause problems like this than to fix them.
So name names, what is the program with the printing problem? And could that be "DF.DLL" and not "DF.DAL" as you wrote?

He fixed it by making sure the print spooler was running. However I've found other posts which says its caused by a bad installation of Acronis True Image
So, we could do with knowing just which program is giving the problem. And is the print spooler running correctly?
