Sony VGC V2S screen resolution

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can someone help me I have spent 2 months searching the net, updating driver and looking into how i can resolve this problem its driving me MAD
OK i have a Sony vaio vgc v2s all in one desktop everything was fine on xp. But i was unable to get new updates and window said I needed to upgrade else no programs will work I have now updated to win7 32 bit(86). Since then my screen has not been right my max resolution I get is 1024 x 786. No matter what I do i cannot get this to the maximum so my screen has 2 thick black line either side. Please help

Sony didn't release an updated Win7 driver package for this machine. Have you tried installing the XP drivers from their download site at
