packard bell easynote laptop

Hi Jon S you gave me some tech advice in the forum about resetting the bios password I took it to my local shop and he did exactly as you would have done (jumped the pins) it''s now up and running with extra memory and i'm delighted it only cost £35.00 to do the job and (to think I was going to scrap it!) so thanks Jon and thanks to all the guys who tried to help

RE: packard bell easynote laptop

thanks for the feedback, glad it worked
on some notebooks it will, on others it won't due to security issues

RE: packard bell easynote laptop

The BIOS password is there to defeat criminals who steal your computer. If it is that easy to beat then it isn't doing its job, so the trick of jumping the pins generally only works on older models.
