Win XP removal
Posted on here 17th March and have just got round to trying to sort it!!!!!
So, want to get rid of XP, running a dual boot system with Win 7.
XP is on a separate partition of the main hard drive, labelled the D drive.
Have tried to format the partition, Windows won't let me.
Have tried partitioning software, it tells me the D drive (Win XP) is the primary partition and the C drive (Win 7) is one of the logical partitions.
Windows won't let me change these so that the C drive is the primary drive and won't let me format the D drive with the partitioning software.
Have been into the BIOS but it only shows the individual drives not the partitions.
On startup the default is Win 7 but I can chose XP if I want to, otherwise Win 7 starts after 30 seconds.
Any help gratefully received.
Thank you.
