open the control, click on the system icon, on the left hand side you should see the device manager. open this and find the web cam. If there is a driver problem it should have a little yellow triangle on it. you should be able to download a driver update buy click the web cam and then on update driver

Sorry ignore the previous link. just tried it for you it doesn't work. this link takes you to a site where you can get a driver recovery cd which has all the drivers for that model laptop with win 7 on it. http://www.recovery-cd.com/system/Advent/AdventRoma/Advent-Roma-2000-Windows-7-Recovery-CD-427225.html
