Login to iMac had failed due to an error with File Vault. Steve managed to get it up running again and retrieve a little of my file in just over an hour. A job well done. Thank you.

Steve called me promtly and we chatted through the problem. He arrived on time and went through a comprehensive diagnostic to find the cause of the malfunction. He was very professional and responded quickly as promised. He was prepared with the proper part and installed it and verified it worked. He was able to provide a new lead with a UK plug to replace the US plug that appeared to be faulty as well. I suggested that the internal jumble of wires be re-secured, but he indicated that it wasn't necessary. However, soon after he left, a connector was bumping into the large side fan of the PC. I was able to secure the wires myself. All works well.

Steve was very professional. He responded quickly to the request, came over near enough straight away, diagnosed the problem and took the laptop away to repair - bringing it back the night after as promised. I can't comment much on value for money as I haven't had to pay for this kind of thng before, but it was a reasonable price to pay to replace the hard drive.

Syeve reacted at very short notice on News Eve, fitting in a job for me that was extremely important to me and my Business. The System crash tookout my main Business PC, and from my end of life it was crisis time in that it needed rapid fixing. It turned out nor to be a run of the mill crash in some respects, but Steve took it in his stride, very flexible and knowledgeable on the topic. Its clear he has a solid genuinely Professional background, not a home grown enthusiast. A Gent, and no ladies on their own during a house call to do a PC fix need have any concerns. A good man who I would recommend to anyone.

Two faults were identified: hard disk was successfully repaired so that computer now starts OK; CD slot won't accept CDs – Steve faileed to repair permanently and called out under warranty advised purchase of external reader.

Steve had to come back the next day as my computer cover had been put back slightly wrongly but he was willing to come back and came early afternoon. Whilst he was with me the second time, he fixed a problem with my laptop which saved me having to get a new disk drive so I was pleased - he charged me 80 pounds for the 2 hours he was with me the second time, some of which though was putting the previous days error back on my desk top.

Steve got in contact almost as soon as I had made the request. He arrived on time and ran through different approaches to resolve the issue. The re-installation of XP took a long time and I wondered whether I should have done that myself. In the event, we needed a new graphics card which he had with him. In the end it all took around 2.5 hours and cost £170 (includng the new hardware). This seemed a lot compared to the cost of a new PC but then again we do now have a PC that is as good as new.
