Slow Computer, General Check Up

Customer's Description:

I have a HP Pavilion DV6700 running windows XP that will not boot into safe mode nor last known good configuration. The laptop sometimes boots normally but will freeze soon after the desktop becomes available. Please can someone please come and have a look.
