I've owned an iMac at home for 2 yrs now but never got beyond the chess-playing and composing tunes bit, let alone getting set up online. My daughter (10) used it to play DVDs and that's all. But now we can't even get the nice blue screen that tells you everything's working OK; there's power input because the little white circle flashes for a bit and it makes a hopeful booping noise but the screen stays blank. Have tried disconnecting/replugging, to no avail. Your service sounds like just what we need to get it fixed and also, hopefully, to get set up on the net. Needless to say, my understanding of all computers is pre-Stone Age and you can't take for granted that I know anything at all about them, though I use one at work all day for specific tasks. Help! |
