Customer's Description: |
Hard drive won't load windows (unmountable boot volume) - has been getting worse so I want the drive replaced. I inherited this box from work and don't have a windows (XP) install disk - I would like (and will happily pay) for a new one. Also, if it's possible, I'd like the old (boot) HD temporarily mountable to see if there's anything I can get off it - I don't need anything special here; if it won't read (as a non-boot disk) then so be it, but I think the disk is probably readable, as long as you aren't trying to boot XP off it (it reads quite a lot of gorp during startup before the BSOD hits). Anyhoo, it's a dell notebook, details to follow (because I'm too stupid to have written down the exact model number). |
