Slow Computer, General Check Up

Customer's Description:

Two issues: I can't play CDs (but I can view photo's on a CD). Laptop is running too slow using any application, e.g. internet, excel. Maybe I need increased memory?

I was pleased with the quality of service, the only issues were the time taken to resolve issues, but I am not an expert so wasn't aware of the extent of the problem. Also it wasn't possible to fix the cd/dvd player, but this is because it transpires that this is a hardware not software problem
