Slow Computer, General Check Up

Customer's Description:

Hi I have only had my mac for about 2 years but for the last few weeks I have noticed it has been running really slowly. It is worse when more applications are open, but generally is running very poorly. I believe it probably needs more RAM installing but would like an expert view.
