lost internet connection

I have lost my internet connection!!
I've contacted my server (talktalk) and they have simply said that there isnt anything wrong with the connection....not very helpful!!
I have connected a laptop to the router and it connects straight away.
can anyone please help

well if the laptop connects OK via the router then you've NOT lost your internet connection. The problem is because the PC and router are not talking to each other, which probably indicates a fault with the PC
How are you trying to connect to the router? Cable or wireless? Have you checked to see if the connection is actually there? Or is the connection showing as "disconnected"?

hi i connect via cable...just turned all back on ... left from early this morning... and its connected to internet ???

Works 90% of the time: turn everything off, wait a minute or two, turn it back on again. We ALL have to do this sometimes, but if you find yourself doing it more than once every few weeks then your equipment is faulty.
