Lost my internet connection during upgrade

I have recently upgraded my wifes computer by installing a new motherboard, this has resulted in having to upgrade the hard drive (to SATA). The problem is I have lost my internet connection during this process, the Orange Livebox is connected to this PC via the ethernet cable and this seems to be OK because our other PC on a wireless connection is OK. Any suggestions would be most welcome !!!

RE: Lost my internet connection during upgrade

the new motherboard probably has a gigabit ethernet port rather than the 100mb/s port of older boards. Windows XP does not have native drivers for these: you need to install them. The board will have come with a driver setup CD - make sure this is used to install ALL the required drivers
What make/model of board is it?

Again many thanks for your help.
