3 network dongle- timing out on downloads

hi all i need some real help, for some reason when downloading using my 3 network pay as u go dongle it times out. Firstly it starts ok but then the speed decreases then it will just time out and i cant even retry the download unless i close google/firefox etc

this never use to happen till i wiped my pc and reinstalled everything, im pretty sure the software is installed correctly. any ideas?

Whenever somebody tells me they have re-installed everything on their PC I hear alarm bells:

(a) Because people so often get this wrong
(b) Because it is often the response of someone who isn't good a fault-finding.

I'd try the dongle on another computer, if possible. Maybe it just overheats and stops working after it has been in use for a little while? If you have the same problems on another computer you'll know it's the dongle.

i understand what u are saying but the overheating is garbage my computer is almost brand new but the hard drive is the oldest thing in it. It doesn't over heat and the dongle doesn't either. once the download has started it just times out...?

i have tryed putting my computer on the landline internet that works fine, downloads etc. Its just for some reason the dongle wont downloads what so ever. Could i have caused errors which may effect ther proformances of the dongle??

Okay, you have proved that your computer works fine by using it with landline internet connection; that's good.

Now prove that the dongle works by trying that on another computer. I doubt that you could have done anything that would affect the performance of the dongle on another computer. If the dongle works on another computer then there is a problem with the dongle software/set-up running on your computer. If it doesn't work on anther computer then the dongle is faulty.
