Time RAM upgrade

Hello
I have a Time computer Model number
00038 1MT 07G4 Is this a recognised number as I can't find any RAM provider that lists it.
Thank you.

RE: Time RAM upgrade

that model number SHOULD read 00381MT07G4
The extra zero threw me off for a while, makes quite a difference searching the database
That has the KT400 version of the MS-6712 motherboard, found on the MSI site as the KT4V
It takes DDR200/266/333/400 memory
I'm not sure what the max permissible combinations are - but you should be OK with a couple of DDR400 512MB SIMMS
Check the manual

RE: Time RAM upgrade

PS I still have two of these motherboards running, as TV / DVD / media playback machines. These motherboards go on forever.

RE: Time RAM upgrade

Thank you Jon
The number I quoted is the one on the test paper that Time sent to me when the original motherboard failed within a fortnight of purchase in 2002. Since the motherboard was replaced I have had no problems whatsoever.
Again, thank you for your information Jon.

RE: Time RAM upgrade

if thats had a motherboard exchange then it MAY have a different model in there
Best to check it visually with the image on that link
Time weren't too bothered about exchanging like-for-like when repairing machines

RE: Time RAM upgrade

Assuming the motherboard is in use ... ie running ... log onto the Crucual memory web site and run their scanner it will give all the information you might need.
