RE: advent modena webcam inbuilt not operating

You could just check in Device Manager to see if windows still detects your webcam. If it shows up in there, it's probable that it is a software issue. :)

RE: Recovery CD for a Toshiba Equium L100-186 laptop

HI, I'm not sure if i'm a little late in replying. Message board only displays the date and not the year so it could be February 2010 LOL. Anyway, I have worked with quite a few toshiba laptops. I think your particular L100 has support for Vista and WinXP. I know that the windows xp based system rarely have any sort of recovery partition on them. So if your system is a Windows XP system good luck finding a Toshiba Recovery. As for a Vista system the recovery files are stored on a second (viewable) partition (usually drive D: i think). Should be in a folder called HDDRecovery. IF you look inside it you might be able to find .swm files. These are the recovery files you need. But to start the recovery. you will need to restart your computer. just after the toshiba logo disappears press F8. This will bring up a menu, you should have an option called "Repair my Computer". Select this and allow to boot into the Vista Repair environment. Once loaded, you should have a few options like "windows restore", and "repair windows". at the bottom should be an option called "Toshiba Recovery". Click that and this should kick start the recovery process. However, if your recovery files are damaged or missing; then the program will tell you insert the Toshiba recovery discs because it can't find the recovery files on your hard drive.
