Unfortunately, Michael couldn't fix the problem but reduced his fee as a result. The problem was a glitch in the windows 7 Operating System. I will certainly use him again when the need arises

Definetley hard drive or hard drive controller. You will need to open it up to be sure. Not much fun I'm afraid!

RE: Problems with Mac wireless on OS X leopard

I would defintely look at upgrading the firmware as suggested by Ant M. It might also be the encryption type. Trying temporarily removing the encryption from the router's wifi config pages and see. If that works I find leaving it off but setting up an access control list on the router keeps it simple and because there is no encryption, quicker too.It does mean manually adding each new wireless station but hey...
