My Laptop Toshiba P25-S487 has a problem with the power jack. When I plug the ac adpater the power light is on but the laptop still runs on the battery. It doenot run on Ac power only and needs a charged battery all the time to turn on. Sometimes it doenot even turn on but after playing around with the jack it finally does. Someone has recommended me to change the motherboard but I think it is very unfeasible spending since the Laptop is year old. Is it possible to just change the jack / solder a new one? Please recommend the best solution. I have brought this Laptop with you before to change the Hard drive if you can remember.
